Forget ping-pong tables — use modern tech to recruit top talent 👩🏻‍💻

Cloud Accounting Weekly is now Own Your Close, a newsletter for management accountants, controllers, and providers of outsourced accounting services. For more accounting technology updates, tune in to the Cloud Accounting Podcast.

“People would rather play with fun toys at work than not,“ says Brian Kalish, quoted in an article titled ”Why technology can be a company’s top recruiter“ that appeared last week in Financial Management magazine.
But he’s not talking about ping-pong tables or cornhole sets. He’s talking about modern, cloud-based software, which is becoming a key differentiator for firms competing for top accounting and finance talent in an increasingly tight job market.
According to a survey commissioned by FloQast (and cited in the article), employees at companies with more fully integrated cloud applications are significantly less stressed at work. That’s just one reason why accounting leaders at fast growing companies are investing in cloud ERP systems.
For more reasons, read my latest blog post, ”Los Angeles Accounting Leaders On The Benefits Of Moving To Cloud Accounting,“ summarizing takeaways from a panel discussion hosted in conjunction with FloQast partner Tactical Cloud.
Speaking of panel discussions, we’ve got another one coming up next month in New York City! Space is limited, so register now for Best Practices for the Month-End Close: An Interactive Panel Discussion with Accounting Leaders on September 13 at the Stack Overflow offices in Manhattan.
